In this picture,i think that the people here are attempting the low elements game which is known as the 'spider web'.Participants are gathered around the tent in the campsite to participate in this outdoor activity.In the foreground of this picture,there is a boy going through the web and he is probably struggling and feeling worried that he cant go through it easily.Beside him,another boy is trying to help him from the web.In my opinion,he might be feeling scared.The girls in the background looks ecstatic and happy,probably cheering for the guys who are attempting the spiderweb.In my opinion,they did not join the boy because they are feeling too afraid or either,they did not have the strength to help the boy.Having this outdoor team building activity can build up your self confidence,your self concentration and team work with your friends and your group and also can build up the bond between your friends.By having these kind of games,participants can also learn how to co-operate with each other and rely on one another when one of them needs help.In my opinion,friends should help each other when they need each other.When they may argue at sometimes,they should stay strong and friend ship is to remain standing and arguments should be solved as soon as possible.Groups and team are supposed to work and cooperate.In
this way,the bonding will still remain.

Dear school,

A tour to Chek Jawa :)

I am Izzah,the vice president of Green Club.We are organising a tour to Chek Jawa.Chek Jawa is a well known nature enclave ans is very popular with its flora,fauna and marine life.This exciting trip will take you to a paradise of nature as you step into Chek Jawa.

Sea pens,starfishes,colourful corals and even sea sponges.Chek Jawa is a paradise and it concludes of the visitors centre,a viewing tower and a boardwalk for all visitors to see the wonders of nature that Chek Jawa has.

We also promise that this tour will be very exciting and it will be very memorable.It will also be an eye opener for everyone because when you go to Chek Jawa ,you will fall in love with nature straight away.

This trip is not only for your eyes to look out for nature in its surrounding,you can also listern to nature,its serene,peaceful sound surrounding you like heaven.

This tour is arranged on 22nd July at 3pm.Interested students can collect their consent forms from their form teachers.Hope you will enjoy youselves and have a memorable trip.

Massive tsunami in Indian Ocean

Disasters are one of those words that will give you goosebumps.Disaster is also very terrible because it comes without a warning or any sign.

The worst disaster is the massive tsunami in Indian Ocean .187'000,with around 43'000 missing and many injured and suffering from trauma,grief and loos.

Roads,villages and even houses were destroyed by the tsunami.Debris and wastes are all scattered widely.Reconstruction will take many years but there is hope for the people here with the long term commitment with the Australian Government and other donors.

Actions are now taken to establish this to get ready for a next tsunami attack and with a tsunami warning system.

My View On Terrorism

Terrorism,to me is very dangerous because it kills innocent lives and endangers the whole country.For example,the Mas Selamat case,if he was not found, numerous people could get killed.

If it were to be me,i would be very afraid.Imagine being terrified with your family and friends,hiding away where the terrorists cant see you.

There will be gunshots and bombs everywhere and you would be living a life of fear and darkness surrounding you.Hiding away from your fears.Forever living in fear.It will affect us in a lot of ways,example,there will be sufferings and scarcity of food,no protection or shelter.No home and terrorists will be bombing and killing everywhere,taking all the innocent lives away.

To me,it is very terrifying.I hope Singapore would not get this disaster and i trust in Singapore's Police Forces.

An Ethiopian goatherd found out about coffee.Coffee was a simple food and beverage back then.Now,it is sold in billions worldwide as one of the top value in trade.Coffee exporting countries and many depend on it as main income.Many drink coffee a lot.In 1975,a frost killed half of Brazil's coffee trees ,changing the prices drastically.In 1979,frost hit Brazil again.Every tree loss result in no income for three to five years.Considering 15 million trees were lost,the income loss is huge and Brazil had to stop exporting coffee.Importers bought it in bulk afraid of the shortage,then prices increased and farmers planted more.Coffee became abundant and prices fell.Farmers began decreasing coffee for other crops.Producers and consumers decided to limit production to what the market can absorb,have a reserve and sell at an agreeable price.

Reflective Summary

I have learnt many things through this 5 reflective journals.About global warming tips,greenhouse gases,glaciers,ice caps and its been a great experience to have and know so much knowledge.I have learnt that the effects of climate change brings danger to living things and animals.Humans influences also lead to climate change and it also leads to global warming.

I have learnt that Singapore has done her best to keep the awareness of global warming and trying to stop it.I have also learnt about tips to change this global warming.

My perspective about climate changes and global warming has changed a lot since i read this articles which gave me an awareness of Climate Changes and how dangerous to us it can be and to the Earth.How it can affect live,living things,little innocent animals and destroy their way of living because of this climate change.Their body temperature cant adapt to the change in surroundings and temperature and some may not even survive or some may even survive or even get sick terribly.

That is why my perspective has changed.Its been a great learning experience and i ahve learnt alot.

In this article,i've learnt tips on how to reduce global warming.Tips such as travelling light,teleconference instead of flying,using compact flourescent light bulbs,recycling and using recycled products,inflating your tires,planting native trees,turning down the heat,buying renewable energy,acting globally,eating locally.

Travelling light:Walking or bike instead to school or work.Try not to use your car.

Teleconference instead of flying:Try to telephone or video conference to save money.Airplanes cost a lot.

Using compact flourescent light bulbs:These energy efficient bulbs help fight climate change because they reduce amount of fossil fuels that utilities burn.

Recycling and using recycled products:Products made from recycled paper,glass,metal and plastic reducing carbon emmisions because they use less energy to manufacture products made completely from new materials.

Inflating your tires:If you own a car,getting a better gas mileage is when the tires are fully inflated.This is so that it will burn less gas and emit less carbon.

Planting native trees:Trees can absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and use it as an energy source,producing oxygen for us,humans,to breathe.

Turning down the heat:Heating and air conditioning draw more than half of the energy that a home uses in United States.Turn down the heat and air conditioning when you leave the house or go to bed.

Buying renewable energy:Electricity generation produces 40% of carbon emmisions.Growing number of utilities generate electricity from renewable energy sourceswith solar panels,windmills and other technologies.

Act globally,eat locally:Shop at a local farmer's markets and you will find fresh and healthy food,and help save our climate.

Through this, i have learnt a lot of tips and information and will put it into action.
