English Journal My Holidays During my December holidays,the whole band including me went to Hong Kong for an overseas performance and an overseas exchange.We went there for five days and slept at a hotel named L'hotel Nina in Tsuen Wan road.On the first day, we went to interesting places in Hong Kong such as Victoria Peak,The Avenue of Stars and watched the Symphony of Lights there. On the second day,we went to two schools in Hong Kong and performed there.One of the two schools is the Singapore International School(SIS).The students there were amazed by our performance.On the third day, we went shopping at the Lady's Market.It is very similar to the night market that we have in Singapore only that its so much bigger then the night markets we have in Singapore.On the fourth day,it was our biggest day because we performed at Hong Kong Disneyland!There were many people watching us and we performed in public.Even our supporters,Bukit Merah Secondary School,were there to support us! On the fifth day,it was our last day in Hong Kong.We did some last minute sight seeing and last minute shopping.We did the last minute shopping at a shopping centre near the Hong Kong International Airport.We had so much fun and I really missed Hong Kong.I bet my friends miss Hong Kong too. I wish we could go to Hong Kong again. I really miss that country. Labels: EL Journal-Holidays Saturday, January 10, 2009 EL Journal Growth Day Last Friday(9 jan) was Growth Day in Chong Boon Secondary School.Growth day is a day where you target your goals,achievemnets and results.Its a day of fun too.As a class ,we worked together to come up with a video using habits of mind.Our theme was"Thinking with clarity".We had fun producing the video.I also learned how to have teamwork and co-operation at the same time because we have to finish the video by 10:15 am.Sharp.I learned other habits of mind too.Then,we targetted our goals in class using the growth booklet,based on our previous year's results and based on psle results.I really enjoyed that growth day and the video production.It was funny. I enjoyed myself and so did my class. I think Growth Day is a very unique day too...Happy Growth Day Everybody!!! Labels: Growth Day |
